Where Copilot is stronger, it is embedded in Microsoft, so there is nothing to install, and it reaches parts of the Microsoft estate we do not. Where enterprise platforms are stronger, they connect to dozens of non-Microsoft systems. OfficeSage is the better fit when the estate is Microsoft 365 and the constraint is privacy, budget or bilingual delivery.

Frequently asked questions
Does OfficeSage train AI models on our company data?
No. Your documents, chats and meeting content are used only to answer your own users' questions. They are not used to train or improve any model, and they are not shared with other customers — each organization's data is isolated by tenant.
Where is our data stored?
Your OfficeSage workspace — document index, chat history, summaries and analytics — is hosted in Montréal. Where AI inference happens depends on the model you choose, with Canadian and European hosted options available.
Can employees see documents they are not allowed to access?
No. Before retrieving anything, OfficeSage resolves the user's current Microsoft 365 group memberships — including nested groups — and searches only what those groups can open. If permissions cannot be confirmed, it returns no documents rather than falling back to everything.
How is this different from Microsoft 365 Copilot?
Copilot follows every permission in your tenant, and Microsoft recommends an oversharing review before rollout. OfficeSage offers dedicated deployments, retrieval that fails closed, and your own choice of AI model including Canadian and European options.
Which Microsoft 365 plans does it work with?
OfficeSage installs as an Office add-in and a Teams app using scoped, admin-consented Microsoft Graph permissions, and signs users in with Microsoft Entra ID. It works with Microsoft 365 business and enterprise plans that support Office add-ins and single sign-on. We provide the full list of Graph permissions requested during your security review.
Is OfficeSage available in French?
Yes. Ask in English or French and get answers in the same language. Meeting summaries can be produced in English, French, or both.
How long does deployment take?
OfficeSage is designed to be deployed by a small IT team without a data-governance project first. Users sign in with Microsoft Entra ID, and the Office and Teams apps roll out through your normal deployment channels. Dedicated deployments are available.
